Dolly
Curley is a seasoned nurse of 36 years with expertise in critical
care, transplantation, home care administration, risk management,
case management and legal nursing. She has been an instructor
for the past five years for the University of Delaware’s Legal
Nurse Consultant Certificate program. She received a diploma
in nursing from St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1970. In 1984,
she received a bachelor of science degree in health care administration.
Dolly received her BSN from Immaculata College in 2001. She
has been a certificated legal nurse consultant since 1999.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Nursing.
Geri
Dougherty, RN, BSN, MS
Geri Dougherty
is director of claims at Cassatt RRG Holding Company, a risk
retention group which provides professional liability insurance
to eight acute care hospitals and 2,500 physicians in Pennsylvania.
Ms. Dougherty was previously employed for 19 years at St.
Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, handling high exposure
catastrophic professional liability claims. In addition to
handling the most complex cases in the region she was also
responsible for the training and education of the claim staff.
Ms. Dougherty received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
from Wilkes University. She received a master's degree in
health education from St. Joseph's University. Ms. Dougherty
has a current Pennsylvania RN license. She is also licensed
to adjust claims in Delaware and Connecticut. In addition,
she is a certified life care planner.
Joan
Meighan, MSHA, CPHRM
Joan
Meighan has worked in health care for more than 30 years in
a number of different positions, including director of quality
assurance at Eagleville Hospital and Philadelphia Child Guidance
Center, administrator at Eagleville Hospital, and director
of risk management for Springfield Hospital, Taylor Hospital,
and Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Joan has a bachelor's
degree in psychology and a master's degree in health administration.
She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management
(CPHRM).
Ilene
Warner-Maron, PhD, RNC, CWCN, CBN, CALA, NHA
Ilene
Warner-Maron, RN, C, CWCN, PhD, MLSP, CALA, NHA is President
of Alden Geriatric Consultants, Inc. She received her diploma
in nursing from Albert Einstein Medical Center, a BS in sociology
from Philadelphia University, an MA in gerontology from the
University of Pennsylvania, a Post-masters in health administration
from St. Joseph's University, an MLSP in law and social policy
from Bryn Mawr College, and a PhD in health policy from the
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Ms. Warner-Maron
has been a legal nurse consultant since 1994, reviewing over
2,000 cases involving the standards of care for geriatric
patients, nursing home and assisted living residents, and
people who developed pressure ulcers. Her clinical practice
involves long term care, out-patient, hospice, and home health
patient care. In addition to teaching in the University of
Delaware's Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate program, Ms.
Warner-Maron is an adjunct instructor in the Department of
Social Sciences at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
Sharon
Whidden, RN, MSN, LNC
Sharon
Whidden is a clinical risk analyst at Bayhealth Medical Center
in Delaware where she focuses on patient safety, incident
analysis, and risk reduction. Her 30 years of nursing practice
includes risk management, nursing leadership, staff education,
case management, and home and critical care.
