Academic advisement for dismissed students
The Professional and Continuing Studies ACCESS Center provides advisement, registration assistance, and career/major counseling to students who have been academically dismissed from the University. Dismissed students are permitted to take a maximum of 7 credits a semester/session as Continuing Education (non-degree) students to allow them to focus on a few courses at a time and thereby increase their likelihood of achieving academic success. Once students increase their cumulative GPAs to at least 2.00, thereby eliminating their deficits, they may apply for readmission to the University.
Dismissed students who are interested in taking courses toward readmission through Professional and Continuing Studies are required to schedule an appointment to meet with an advisor. Advisors are available to assist students in making decisions regarding their educational goals and help them to establish a plan for academic success. Daytime and evening appointments are available.
