Mr. Hoch teaches AP Physics (B, C Mechanics, and Electricity and Magnetism) at Archmere Academy in Claymont, DE. He formerly taught at Germantown Academy in Pennsylvania. Since 1999 he has served as a consultant for the AP Physics Institute at the University of Delaware, consistently receiving excellent ratings by participants.

Course description

Conducted in a fully-equipped high school science laboratory, this interactive course emphasizes the laboratory work in the AP Physics curriculum. It is designed to provide opportunities for sharing ideas on the content and methodology appropriate to AP Physics courses on the B or C levels. The content and grading of the AP exam also is discussed in detail. As a special feature, a CD including extensive course materials, samples, and teaching aids is provided along with a course manual.
