Board
of Examiners
Job Description and Time Commitment
The DQA
Board of Examiner members consist of quality professionals
selected through a competitive application process. All members
of the Board must attend the annual Examiner training preparation
course. Each examiner commits to approximately 100 hours of
service, including three days of intense, but highly rewarding
training on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.
Examiners
from all types of organizations, both in the private and public
sectors, are sought. There is no residence requirement, and
we encourage individuals living and/or working outside of
Delaware to participate. There are only two qualifications
for Delaware Quality Award Examiners:
- A
strong interest in learning about and practicing Baldrige-style
organizational assessment
- Ethical
conduct and integrity
