DQA Examiner Training: Using Baldrige Criteria to Drive
Performance Excellence
Based
on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria, the
Delaware Quality Award process is a valuable means of assessing
organizational performance and improving management systems.
These workshops provide intensive, thorough preparation in
the use of the Baldrige Criteria to improve organizational
processes.
All fees
for Examiner Training Workshops are waived
if the participant agrees to serve as a Delaware Quality Award
Examiner for one year.
The goal
of these workshops is to provide participants with an understanding
of
- How
the award process contributes to improved management systems
and organizational performance
- The
Baldrige Criteria and the assessment process
- How
to evaluate an award application
- The
scoring system, its application and use
- How
to prepare useful feedback statements
Mark Blazey,
an international expert on the Baldrige Criteria and author
of Insights into Performance Excellence, facilitates the second
portion of this interactive program. He is president of Quantum
Performance Group.
This is
mandatory training for anyone wishing to join the Board of
Examiners of the Delaware Quality Award. Scholarships are
available for members of the DQA Board of Examiners. A limited
number of places also are available for those wishing to understand
how to use the Baldrige Criteria to become champions of performance
excellence within their companies or organizations.
A pre-work
case study is required prior to starting the program. Registration
fees include a copy of Mark Blazey's book, an extensive participant
