Delaware,
recipient of an Award of Merit, began operations in 1994 serving
people with severe autism. Demand for its services grew and
twelve years later it provides programs throughout the state
for individuals with a broad range of severe and challenging
behaviors. Services include residential, day habilitation,
vocational training, and employment services.

increasing demand for its services. The agency operates programs
throughout the state, providing services for more than 365
individuals with a broad range of severe and challenging behaviors
and has revenues in excess of 16 million dollars. Peter Dakunchak
has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Chimes Delaware
since its inception in 1994. Services include residential,
day habilitation, vocational training, and employment services.

Family of Services
Established
in 1947 as Maryland’s first school for children with
moderate mental retardation, Chimes has expanded to an international
multi-service agency delivering a wide range of programs,
services and supports for nearly 6,000 people of all ages
and many levels of ability. Chimes Family of Services assists
people with barriers to independent living including mental
retardation, mental illness and other disabilities in Maryland,
Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina,
the District of Columbia and Israel.
