Increase your effectiveness as a reader and a student in just two weekends—September 8-9 and September 15-16, 2012
This four-day program takes place September 8-9 and September 15-16, 2012
Two sessions to choose from: 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 1:30-5:00 p.m.
This program is being offered through the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies in partnership with the Institute of Reading Development
The Speed Reading and Study Strategies course will increase your effectiveness as a reader and a student, and as a result, you will be better equipped to manage the competing demands on your time. The program is being offered through the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies.
When you complete this course you will be able to read your textbooks twice as fast. In easier reading materials, like most non-fiction books, novels, and journal articles, you will read three times faster. You will understand and retain information better, even while reading at these higher speeds. In addition, you will be able to prepare for tests efficiently, without extensive rereading.
Instruction for this course is provided by the Institute of Reading Development. The Institute has provided instruction for leading universities and colleges for over 35 years.
As a course participant, you will receive free lifetime repeat privileges, honored at any of the universities or colleges that offer the program. At each stage of your school or work career, the type of material you need to read may change or become more difficult. Your lifetime repeat privileges entitle you to return, at any time, in order to receive instruction in the specific techniques and strategies that are best suited to the material you are reading.
This four-day program will meet on Saturdays and Sundays for two consecutive weekends. The program will be held on the University of Delaware’s Newark campus.
