Essentials
Applying to the certificate program
Requirements
for enrollment
Applicants
to the program must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher,
and sophomore standing (completion of at least 28 credits).
Current University of Delaware students whose major is
within the Lerner College of Business and Economics are not
eligible.
Application
deadline
Applications
to the certificate program are reviewed twice a year and are
due no later than October 15 and March 15.

Current
UD students
Matriculated
UD students may apply during the semester in which they will
complete 28 credits and achieve sophomore status, and should
meet with their advisors prior to applying to determine how
these credits will be allocated toward their degree program.
Current University of Delaware students whose major is
within the Lerner College of Business and Economics are not
eligible.
All
other applicants
Applicants
who are not current University of Delaware students should
also include transcripts of coursework completed at other
accredited colleges and universities.
Certificate
completion
The Certificate
of Business Essentials will be awarded to students who have
successfully completed the courses outlined, have a grade
of C- or better in each course, and have submitted a Request
for Certificate form. Students must submit the Request for
Certificate during the semester in which they plan to graduate.
