Schedule and location

Classes for the Certificate in Financial Planning meet primarily Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:30 p.m. and some Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Please view the current semester's schedule for a detailed listing of class meeting times and locations.

Registration with payment is due ten business days before the start of the program. A payment plan is available. Click here for a detailed program schedule.

Grading policy

All modules taken toward the certificate will be graded according to the University of Delaware’s A-F letter grade system.

Continuing education credits

  • CEUs—Participants who successfully complete the Certificate in Financial Planning will earn 27.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CEUs measure participation in noncredit professional development activities. These standard units are nationally recognized.

  • CPE Sponsors logoNASBA—The University of Delaware, Professional and Continuing Studies is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
