UD email accounts
Using your UD email account is mandatory
- All official University correspondence is sent to your UDelNet email address, and students are responsible for reading this mail, or forwarding to an alternate email account.
- The University uses electronic billing for all tuition bills. All UD tuition bills will be sent to the preferred billing email address as selected in UD-SIS.
Students are required by the UD Code of Conduct to regularly check their UDel email account:
All students are expected to access and use their UD email and read email in a timely manner. Faculty will send email with important information about classes, and the administration, including the Office of Student Conduct, will send messages with timely, sometimes critical, announcements. These messages are sent to the “udel.edu” email address assigned to each student. If students prefer to use a different email service, they must still check their UD email account or be sure to forward the “udel.edu” messages to the preferred account.
A student’s UDelNet account provides the user with a University of Delaware email address and disk space on UD’s central servers for email and other files. The UDelNet ID functions as your email username. Click here for details about activating and using your UDelNet account.
All students currently enrolled at the University have access to a UDelNet account. An account remains active until the beginning of the next major semester (fall/spring). Status is maintained over winter/summer sessions.
