Miriam
Cannon, RN
Miriam
Cannon, RN has over 26 years experience in a variety of aspects
of health care. Her background includes Web-based clinical
systems development, disease management, legal nurse consulting,
outcomes research, product development, quality improvement,
case management, pharmacy and home health certification, clinical
research, teaching, lecturing, clinical sales, hospital, and
home infusion. In 1994, she co-founded CORSolutions, Inc.,
a leading health support and education Web site and was instrumental
in developing crucial aspects of the site. Prior to CORSolutions,
Inc., Ms. Cannon participated in other start-up ventures,
including American Cardiology Care, a cardiac infusion company,
and Heritage Health Plan, a Health Maintenance Organization
(HMO). At Temple University’s Heart Failure and Transplant
Center, Miriam functioned as a clinical research nurse. She
has written numerous papers on emerging technologies and published
many abstracts and articles in journals. Currently, she is
an independent consultant.
Dolly
Curley, RN, BSN, LNCC, DABFE
Dolly
Curley is a seasoned nurse of 36 years with expertise in critical
care, transplantation, home care administration, risk management,
case management and legal nursing. She has been an instructor
for the past five years for the University of Delaware’s Legal
Nurse Consultant Certificate program. She received a diploma
in nursing from St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1970. In 1984,
she received a bachelor of science degree in health care administration.
Dolly received her BSN from Immaculata College in 2001. She
has been a certificated legal nurse consultant since 1999.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Nursing.
Paul
Hyde, MEd
Paul Hyde
has supported educational applications of technology for over
twenty years. He received his MEd in educational technology
and works for Information Technology at the University of
Delaware. He was a 2002 recipient of UD’s Award for Excellence
in Teaching Adult Students. In the field of courtroom presentations,
Paul has prepared digitized video depositions that are synchronized
with scrolling text transcripts and supporting illustrations.
Kathleen
Ryan Kuntz, MSN, RN, CRRN, CLCP, Cm
Kathleen
Ryan Kuntz is an advanced practice registered nurse with national
certifications in rehabilitation nursing, life care planning,
nursing case management, and Medicare set-aside allocations.
She has more than 25 years of rehabilitation nursing experience
in a broad range of positions including direct care, patient/family
education, staff development, administration, and case management.
Ms. Kuntz also provides medical/legal case review, expert
testimony, and prepares life care plans for attorneys, insurers,
and families. Ms. Kuntz earned a master of science in nursing
and post graduate certificates in nursing administration,
life care planning for advanced catastrophic case management,
and managed care/case management. She is actively involved
in professional organizations, serving on regional and national
committees and boards that promote the interests of pediatric
and rehabilitation nursing, family, community, and professional
education, and legal nurse consultants. She has published
and presented widely on topics related to the care of children
with disabilities, pediatric and rehabilitation nursing, life
care planning, and case management.
Ilene
Warner-Maron, RN, C CWCN, MA
Ilene
warner-Maron, RN, C, CWCN, MA, MLSP, CALA, NHA is President
of Alden Geriatric Consultants, Inc. She received her diploma
in nursing from Albert Einstein Medical Center, a BS in sociology
from Philadelphia University, an MA in gerontology from the
University of Pennsylvania, a Post-masters in health administration
from St. Joseph's University, an MLSP in law and social policy
from Bryn Mawr College, and a PhD in health policy from the
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Ms. Warner-Maron
has been a legal nurse consultant since 1994, reviweing over
2,000 cases involving the standards of care for geriatric
patients, nursing home and assisted living residents, and
people who developed pressure ulcers. Her clinical practice
involves long term care, out-patient, hospice, and home health
patient care. In addition to teaching in the University of
Delaware's Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate program, Ms.
Warner-Maron is an adjunct instructor in the Department of
Social Sciences at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
Valerie
Parisi, RN, CRRN, CLCP
Valerie
V. Parisi, RN, CRRN, CLCP has a private consulting practice
in legal nurse consulting and nurse life care planning. Ms.
Parisi has been an active registered nurse for 26 years and
is a certified rehabilitation nurse (CRRN) and life care planner
(CLCP). Ms. Parisi has been in private practice as a legal
nurse consultant for ten years providing general legal nurse
consulting services in cases of medical malpractice, personal
injury, product liability, and worker’s compensation and also
has provided nursing case management services to insurance
carriers. She has provided testimony nationally as a life
care planning expert. Ms. Parisi received a diploma in nursing
from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and
received post graduate training in life care planning from
the University of Florida.
Nicole
J. Perefege, Esq.
Nicole
J. Perefege is an attorney in private practice in West Chester,
PA. Her practice focuses on estate and trust planning and
administration, tax law, and residential real estate matters.
She is a member of the Chester County Bar Association, serving
on the Board of Directors as well as chairing the Solo and
Small Firm Section. Ms. Perefege has been and adjunct professor
at several colleges and universities.
