Associate in Arts Online

The curriculum information listed here is for guidance purposes only and may be subject to change. Students are strongly encouraged to seek academic advisement through the ACCESS Center in order to plan their curriculum and ensure that their coursework will have the greatest applicability for their future academic goals. Students transferring courses into the program may be able to fulfill some University of Delaware requirements with previous college coursework.

UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS

• ENGL 110 Critical Reading and Writing [minimum grade of C-] (3 credits)
• First Year Experience (FYE) (0-4 credits)
• University Breadth Requirements (12 credits)—Up to 3 credits from each of the University Breadth Requirement categories may be used to simultaneously satisfy the College of Arts and Sciences Breadth Requirements. Students must earn a minimum grade of C- in each course to meet this requirement. Students must take breadth courses from 4 different subject areas. Students may not use a course that is cross-listed with a subject area that has already been used to satisfy a university breadth requirement. ELECTIVES

After required courses are completed, sufficient elective credits must be taken to meet the minimum credit requirement for the degree. Students may opt to take one free elective course per semester pass/fail, but the total number of credits taken on a pass/fail basis may not exceed 12, excluding courses that are graded pass/fail only. Courses numbered below 100-level do not count toward a degree. For a listing of UD Online courses from which you may select electives—

TOTAL CREDITS REQUIRED FOR DEGREE IS AT MINIMUM 60 CREDITS

A minimum of 60 credits is required for completion of the Associate in Arts Online, some of which may be approved transfer credits from other colleges.

To be eligible for the Associate in Arts, students must also

• Complete more than half of the required credits through the University of Delaware, and
• Apply to the University of Delaware prior to completing 75 credit hours (including transferable credit) and earn at least 12 credits after formal admission to the University.
