Course development
UD Online
Fellows program
UD Online’s
primary mission is to extend University of Delaware credit
courses and degree programs to meet the needs of distance
learners. We offer more than 200 courses that support 8 online
degree programs, in addition to courses that meet the University
of Delaware's breadth requirements and contribute to the defined
learning goals of academic departments.
The UD
Online Fellows program enables faculty to develop courses
for online delivery in a peer cohort. Participating in this
program requires a significant commitment to learn and apply
new technologies, presented in a series of six training workshops.
This series of hands-on workshops provides you with the opportunity
to learn and implement new tools in collaboration with your
peers. The final workshop will be a presentation of your completed
distance learning course.
The program
is offered in two cohorts: starting in October for course
offerings in the Spring or Summer, and in March for course
offerings in the Fall or Spring. If approved, you agree to
teach this course over a period of at least three years and
a minimum of six semesters through UD Online. You are encouraged
to support the course more than the six minimum semesters.
