Instructional media (CDs and DVDs)
Most UD
Online courses are delivered on the Web through MyCourses
or Sakai, the
University of Delaware's learning management systems.
However,
if students have technical
difficulties viewing videostreamed lectures over the Internet,
they may request instructional media as an alternative viewing
option. Only courses with videostreamed lectures have this
option, and students will still be required to access their
course on the Internet for other pertinent information. Courses
with this option are designated as having instructional media
available upon request (in the course description).
Instructional
media must be returned at the end of each semester.
If you
have problems with any course media, please call 302/831-1053
or 1-800-597-1444, option 4 (long distance only) or write
to udonline-media@udel.edu.
Instructional
media return policy
-
Students
who have instructional media must return them at the end
of the semester to the UD
Online Resource Center, 850 Library Ave., Newark.
The return deadline is always the day you take your final
exam. We advise students taking their final exams in Newark
to bring the instructional media with them to return either
before or after their exam. Students who are not in Newark
and wish to mail them, please have the package postmarked
by the designated deadline.
-
Instructional
media are returned to UD Online at the expense of the
student. Students whose instructional media are overdue
(past the return deadline), will have a financial and
registration hold placed on their University accounts.
To remove these holds, students must return the media
and pay late fees based on the instructional media format.
-
Extensions
on coursework granted by the instructor do not include
extensions on the instructional media.
